Right now there are riots going on with I think the gang members in Baltimore, Maryland and the police. Writing about it makes me feel like I at least have a say in something. There is such anger among young adults, because it's seriously one of the worst occurrences of our time, this string of murders during police arrests. It's by far the worst thing I have ever experienced, and I was pretty jarred by the bomber running away from the police when they found him, a mere young man, a murderer.
Death penalties are probably the biggest waste of conscious human life. It's such a crude use of humanity's idea of "justice." It's pure ego, this irate anger.
But the shock I've felt day after day is just unimaginable. I can't even equate it to anything. I'm not unable to think, I really can't even process all of it.
If it takes this level of chaos to excite the human race into action, maybe there's a reason for the bloodshed. It's seriously a nightmare.
I had to explain something to young adults recently about what it means to wish someone's mortality to be threatened. I listened and only heard this deep feeling of irate anger. Just because you are angery does not give you the right to wish someone dead. No matter what. that's when we tread into the hunted becoming the hunters. It accomplishes nothing, and dialect wise it's juvenile and frankly stupid. It's the way ignorant people talk, an eye for an eye!
Now, understanding that I am not of African decent, I don't appear Trans, no one sees my mental illness, how I respond is just as important. I have an insiders view of Caucasian American culture. Unfortunately, at the present time, I could probably influence those narrow-minded anger and fear machine police more than someone of a racial minority. Everyone's opinion matters, especially when we have the information.
I take issue with white people saying Die Whitey and Cis Scum. And putting fucking hashtags before it. Whatever possesses people to do that , keep that inside, be the bigger person.Don't agitate the bastard no matter what, be fucking strong for god sakes. My god. Some people act like they've had an arm cut off by policemen , because they're Transgender. I understand transgender people's anger towards policemen this first hand. They don't realize that these people they are attacking and demeaning to the point of taking out an insect are at the same level socially as they are. Telling them that they should be squashed and demeaned too is completely missing the point of what the Black Lives Matter movement is about. You are not bringing the movement forward by saying that. You are bringing yourself to their level. It will erase the movement completely. You will be doing a disservice.
